Delivering an optimised mobile experience

Property has always been a strong point for IM. In 2006 we were engaged by Barratt Homes to create a mobile experience to increase lead generation. It was a simple and focused product that delivered a solution based on the changing habits of smartphone usage. More recently, there was an attempt to develop responsive versions of some sites. While these were contemporary they also lead to drop-offs in leads compared to the the original mobile product, which led us to revert to a mobile specific experience.

This case study is still valid today as it highlights one of IM’s business values – we like to build products that enhance the user’s experience. By analysing what would be best for Barratt’s customers, and therefore also the business, we harnessed the power of mobile and created a fast and easy to use mobile site to give potential home buyers the information they were looking for.
