Something we’re frequently asked is about what happens after an app goes live – the project has ended, what happens next?  So we thought we’d put together a short post outlining some of the key elements of what a relationship looks like with us post initial build. 

Monitoring the Success of the App 

Firstly, we’ll monitor the success of the app. We will give you access to analytics platforms but will also monitor these as well, producing monthly and quarterly reports to show progress and KPI achievement. We love clients who are dedicated to promoting their apps and will work hard from our end to ensure success. 

Review Monitoring  

Once an app goes live and starts to be downloaded by users, feedback also starts to come in. App reviews can provide insight into how users are receiving the app and can highlight positives and any negatives. This means we can quickly pick up any issues and get ideas for new features direct from the users. Additionally, replying quickly to reviews can ensure users feel valued and heard. 

Operating System Updates 

Both Apple and Android issue regular updates to their operating systems, and it is imperative that we keep on top of these to ensure there is no impact on the app from a new update. Having a successful app is dependent on long term maintenance – as new phones and operating systems are developed and released, the app too must be updated to ensure compatibility. 

New Features 

To have a truly successful app, users must remain engaged so that they continue to use and support the app. Without updates, an app will grow stale overtime and users may become bored and not find it as valuable as they did previously. We like to keep a working backlog of new feature ideas, which can be added when time and budgets permit. 

Regular Contact 

We pride ourselves on building long term partnerships with our clients, which is why many have stayed with us for over a decade. Each client is assigned a dedicated Account Manager, who is always on hand to answer questions and help with any issues. Your Account Manager will arrange regular calls after go-live (we like these to be at least quarterly), where key KPIs and app performance can be discussed.
