We are privileged to have been involved with Euan's Guide from its start. Since 2013 we have worked closely with the founders and trustees to deliver solutions that promote the charity's guiding principle - to put disabled users first.
From initial concept conversations, advice on strategy and brand, through to the selection and development of genuinely accessible technology solutions, we are proud to have played a part in the success that the charity is today.
creating the experience
The first part of the project was to conceive and develop a website that appealed to Euan’s diverse audience. A multi-platform app based on a powerful yet simple CMS soon followed. The resulting app and website are fully responsive, integrated with social media and have become preferred platforms for community driven content.
Euan’s Guide champions accessibility so over the years we have added functionality to enhance this such as screen reading compatibility, contrasted colour palettes for people with visual impairment and magnified map navigation. More recently gamification and new search features have been added to increase engagement.
It is best described by one of its users: "Probably the most useful app in the app store if you have particular accessibility needs. This app makes days out so much easier. Brilliant."
