BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / HEAD OF SALES

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to head up a new and key role within our company, which will be aligned with continuing our ambitious growth plans. You can be based in our Edinburgh or London office, and due to the nature of the role travel will be essential.
You will be helping us to promote our core services: App Development, Web Development, Digital Strategy and our SMS/mobile messaging platform. We have created a number of award winning 5-star mobile apps for some of the UKs leading visitor attractions and resorts and work with some of the UKs leading brands in hospitality and leisure and property and construction to deliver their digital strategy.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, driven, and have a background in driving new business through client wins. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play an integral part in developing and implementing our sales processes and would suit a skilled and ambitious sales executive looking to make their mark in this new role.
You will have previous experience of working within an agency or the digital / technology sector.
As Business Development Manager, your main role will be to drive new business, source and qualify leads to reach sales targets and growth plans
Grow the business by generating sales in the UK;
Take ownership of the full sales cycle from generating leads, pricing, negotiation and closing;
Systematically build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against sales targets and ensure KPI's are met;
Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of our services and products, as well as providing feedback on client requirements, by working closely with our in-house team and Client Services Director;
Provide the management and board with detailed live information on pipeline, target lists and activity;
Work closely with our marketing team to prepare content plans in line with sales activity and contribute clever ways to identify leads utilising social media and email marketing.
Experience & Skills
At least three years' experience in a B2B Digital Agency business development role and evidence of successfully reaching sales targets;
Proven track record of consistently meeting sales and retention targets in business development/ new business environment;
Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities and thinking creatively to build demand from all potential sources;
Proven understanding of sales metrics and to use them to build and plan for success;
Strong, repeatable and reliable sales methodology to plan and develop sales;
Excellent negotiation skills and commercial sense;
Able to communicate to all levels of leadership across disciplines;
Excellent selling skills built on trust and reliability and a professional approach;
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written; proven ability to build rapport and be engaging;
Proactive and self-motivated approach;
Collaborative and positive;
Able to contribute to team goals, share information and enable others;
Tenacious and passionate about working on the front line of the business.
