Technology & its relationship with the physical space
Marwell’s brief was simple: they wanted an app for the zoo. Our focus was on building a product that worked within the physical environment and added to the visitor experience, rather than becoming a distraction.
The Marwell Zoo app works with a network of iBeacons to help provide an inclusive and contextual experience. Families and visiting groups are able to learn more about the animal in front of them through fun quizzes and contextual information presented by the app. It added a channel of commercialisation for the zoo’s food and beverage operations, membership and animal adoption opportunities.
The app self navigates pendant on where the visitor is within the zoo providing a tailored experience. It is a cross platform mobile solution and allows zoo employees to add & edit content using a tailor-made and easy to use content management system.
